A small visit to a small country

Back to France tomorrow (via Spain across the Pyrenees) and I can tick off (phew) this small European country. The walks have been really beautiful but I think it's time to find some more interesting stuff. Yesterday I did a hike around the Engolasters area just east of the capital which provided some spectacular views and some really pretty fields and forests, and today did much of the same. One nice thing about the walks here is the weird sculptures that seem to randomly pop up, generally with weird explanations on the sign boards (see below). It's got a bit boring here, so yesterday I ended up watching the world hot hog eating championships on Kayo! There is not much else to write about or take photos of (you can only take so many photos of hills!) so I have dug out some fun trivia: Andorra was the last European country to make peace with Germany. It was concluded in 1956. Andorra's military forces had a yearly defence budget of four dollars and fifty cents which was used to purchase blank cartridges for fireworks. Today Andorra's Army consist of twelve men whose major duty is to attend to the flag rising ceremonies. Andorran citizens are obliged to keep a rifle at home in order to be able to stand against all types of enemy's onslaught if required. That's about it for this country. (and to be honest I will be glad to hit the road!)
