Last nights steak was sensational (just in case you were wondering!)
Ticked off another bucket list item today by visiting the Yorkshire Dales National Park (Where the BBC TV series All Creatures was based). Used to watch this as a kid and thought that being a vet in Yorkshire would be fun! It was wet, cold and the roads were narrow, but the scenery was spectacular. Managed to see some James Harriot stuff in Hawes and checked out the Aysgarth Falls. Also looked at Richmond Castle (but there wasn't much left of it!) and found the original set with a stuffed dog from the BBC in the Richmond Museum (which had free entry that day!) Overnighted in Darlington but it was a real dump - Can see why George Forrest (Great Grandfather) left here for Australia in 1886....
