Erice and Trapani and THAT BBQ

Today we drove to the old town of Erice. Erice is a well preserved medieval town offering breathtaking views and fascinating history. About 1000m up a very windy steep road. For morning tea we feasted on Cannoli. We then drove to Trapani to check out the salt mines and managed to find some flamingos wading about in the mud. On the way back to the house after a good walk through Trapani (including a beer that had salt from the mines in it!) we purchased the items for the BBQ. Meat for me and green stuff for Alice and Angel. Angel BBQ'd some fresh artichokes (with olive oil) and they were delicious. That night we watched my Antarctica slide show until everyone fell asleep.
