Early start today as I will be visiting a special place in the Lakes District. The Derwent Pencil Museum. The whole place looks like a cover of a Derwent Pencil box (which is where they got the box cover designs from) but the main reason its here is the special graphite found in the hills. Spent a good two hours at the museum - Who knew that a coloured pencil could be so interesting. But I also discovered some interesting war time facts, as well as the worlds largest pencil.
Had a long walk along the shores of Derwent Waters, visited the Castlerigg Stone Circle and enjoyed the walk to Aira Force Waterfalls. Only 13,000 steps but it felt a lot more as most of the time it was raining and freezing cold. Had to buy a beanie to keep my head warm €6. Had some car troubles today - every time I touched the brake the car accelerated. Its starting to make some weird noises so not sure if it'll last the distance.
