Has to be in my top 10

Yesterday I completed a bucket list item to drive across the Pyrenees mountains from Spain to France and it was spectacular. It would make my top 10 world's best road trips easily. The lower part of the mountains in Spain had crystal clear fast flowing rivers that were crowded with white water canoeists and rafters, (some I suspect practising for the Olympics) while the twisting roads to the mountain tops were so much fun to drive - that is until you ran into a herd of local cattle (with bells) lying on the road. Through ski resorts, clouds and forests past amazing waterfalls that were nearly as good as those in Norway, the four hour trip was brilliant. The route I followed was C28 and N230 - check it out on Google maps. However as the day progressed the weather closed in and the rain started. So my photos were limited. I overnighted in the paper mill town of Saint Girons where the plains of Gascony meet the mountains of the Pyrenees, The weather was lousy so decided to hit the hotel to watch the Wallabies beat Wales and the much better game of England v The All Blacks.
