Is this the best beach in Sardinia?

Another tough day in the office as I made my way about 45 minutes north of Alghero to a pristine paradise known as La Pelosa Beach (Spiaggia della Pelosa), Stintino. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters and fine white sand, its rated as the best beach in Sardinia (have I said this before?). Just near the beach is the Tower of La Pelosa which was built in the 16th Century to protect the coastline from pirates. The beach is so popular that in the busy months you have to pre-book for the limited spots available. Plus to prevent sand from leaving the beach, it is mandatory to lay your towel on a straw mat. Rangers patrol the area to ensure compliance, and failure to have a mat may result in a fine. So it was a morning swim and a few lazy hours reading my book in these magic surrounds. Just another comment on the Sardinian food - Amazing - Last night I had the linguina cotta nel nero di seppis e servita con tartare di scampi (linguina cooked in black ink and served with langoustine tartare).
