My last days in Sicily - Wed/Thur 15th & 16th March

Well after a month on the road, its time to pack my little suitcase and head to the UK tomorrow. Both Malta and Sicily have been sensational, hectic, interesting and definitely worth a visit. Malta has the edge, I think, due to the friendliness of the people - like nowhere else I have ever visited. Sicily was amazing. It seems every city (or region) feels like a seperate country. The food has been incredible, and even though I have eaten stacks I have now lost 5kg.

Yesterday I visited Cefalu - The weather was horrible and there were 5ft waves breaking on the beaches. I don't know what these places would be like in summer as the place was packed. Today I finished about 14K steps checking out the last of the sights in Palermo (pics below). I think one day I would like to come back to Sicily but hopefully between now and then they might pick up some rubbish and clean up the dog crap off the footpath. One more maniacal drive tomorrow morning then hopefully Margaret has warmed the set and cooled the tinnies for my arrival in London.
