Waterfalls and more waterfalls

Updated: Jun 25, 2023

Finally have got some working wifi!!. On Wednesday we visited the world's second largest Fjord. Situated in the inner Geirangerfjord, Geiranger is one of Norway’s most beautiful sights surrounded by steep mountains on either side of the fjord. It’s listed as one of the most beautiful fjords in the world and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. All day you are surrounded by magnificent surroundings bedecked with cliffs, mountains and tranquil lakes. In the afternoon we took another Inflatable boat trip to witness the spectacular views of Geirangerfjord. Two of the most famous waterfalls were Seven Sisters & Friaren. Having a lot of fun and meeting some interesting people, including Kerry-Anne Kennerley former host of the Midday Show. Thursday was a boat day meaning - late breakfast, lunch and dinner and not much else. The wind is following so the boat has a real gentle rocking motion which is so soporific. Tried to read my book but fell asleep instantly. Last night we passed over the Arctic Circle. The Arctic Circle is one of the two polar circles, and the most northerly of the five major circles of latitude as shown on maps of Earth at 66º North. We now have 24 hours a day of sunshine and it is called the Midnight Sun. The weather is still nice due to the warm Gulfstream waters. Hopefully it'll turn cold soon. Today we are sailing to Lofoten Islands at the top of Norway and should arrive early this afternoon.
