What to do in Gothenburg??- Go shoe shopping of course

Tomorrow I land in Norway for my adventure to the Arctic Circle. However, what to do in Europe's most boring town today? So I decided I needed some new shoes, but first I purchased a day ticket for the Vasttrafik (metro) to catch some buses. Spent about two hours catching random buses around town - but didn't see anything interesting (again). I eventually found reference to a castle - supposedly one of the seven wonders of Sweden, so made my way there. (BTW I'd hate to think what the other six are!) Luckily my day ticket limit was the town of Kungalv where the castle "Bohus Fastning" was located. Built in 1308 the castle at various times was Norwegian, then Danish and now Swedish - who thought it would be a good idea to tear most of it down. There now is even a castle within the castle... There are benches to sit on and in the town there is a biscuit factory where you can buy biscuits. So enough excitement, it was back to town to buy some shoes. I also went to the government operated bottle shop to stock up on some wine. Cannot wait to get on the train tomorrow.
